Catherine Theresa Beaudette

Catherine Theresa Beaudette, age 90, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at her residence.

Catherine was born on February 23, 1923, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to John and Catherine (Werwie) Rupp. She was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.  On April 30, 1949, she was united in marriage to Louis Perry Beaudette at St. George Catholic Church in Kenosha after which she moved to Racine.  They were married for 34 years until his death.

Catherine was a bookkeeper for Precise Products Corporation in Racine for ten years before becoming a stay-at-home mother to her two daughters.  Prior to that she was a bookkeeper at the C.J. Werwie Company in Kenosha.  Catherine’s concern for helping others and her strong faith was evident in her service to St. Edwards Parish.  She served as Eucharistic minister and sacristan and was a member of St. Edward’s Altar Sodality.   St. Edward’s School received her services as volunteer room mother and aide with the hot lunch program.  She was a dedicated volunteer with Lincoln Lutheran of Racine, assisting in their Senior Companion and Harmony Club programs.  Since scouting was a passion of her husband, she assisted him with Troop 3 at St. Rose Church as well as being Girl Scout leader at St. Edward’s School.

She is survived by her daughters, Jo Ann Beaudette of Wisconsin Rapids and Carol Ann (Daniel) Francia of Miramar, Florida; grandson, Stephen Francia of Miramar, Florida; as well as nieces, Jane(Allen) Dorey, Marcy(Michael) Romanowski; and nephews, Thomas(Victoria) Hessefort and Steven(Adela)Hessefort, all of Kenosha.  Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; parents, Catherine and John Rupp; and sister, Genevieve Hessefort.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Ave. with Rev. Allen Bratkkowski officiating.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday, June 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Prayer Vigil at 6:30 p.m.) at the funeral home and Tuesday at the church from  9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. Memorials to St. Edward’s Catholic Church or St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.

A special thank you to Ministry Hospice of Wisconsin Rapids for their care.
