Charles J. Lipp

Surrounded by his loving family, Charles J. Lipp, age 84, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013. Charles was born in Racine on November 24, 1928, son of the late John and Bernice (Nee: Tyborczyk) Lipp.

Charlie was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1946.” He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On December 16, 1950, at Holy Name Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Dorothy R. Hansen.

Chuck was employed for nearly thirty years at J.I. Case Company. He was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #281. Charlie was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing. He will be best remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and for his love of animals. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-two years, Dorothy; children, Mary Griffin (Eric Emert), Karen (Steve) Eschmann, Cindy (Doc) Turner, Beth Lipp (Tom Holbus), John Lipp (Dorene Collins), Sue (Dave) Glander; grandchildren, Chris Luedtke, Daniel Griffin, Jennifer (Michael) Medau, Sarah Castellanos (Chris Jansa), Charlie Eschmann, Alyson (Marc) Eisch, Melissa Turner, Amy (Jason) Grabowski, William (Beth Schneider) Wodicka, John Lipp Jr., Monica Lipp, Anthony (Joy Hope) Wallin, Joseph Wallin, Jessica Wallin (John Mandujano), Michael Wallin; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Ave., on Monday June 10, 2013, with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until time of Mass at 6 p.m. Memorials to St. Catherine’s High School or the Wisconsin Humane Society have been suggested.
