Arlene C. (St. Martin) Wrixton

Arlene C. Wrixton, age 87, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center.  Arlene was born in Racine on May 2, 1927, daughter of the late Wilfred and Evangeline (Nee: LeFebvre) St. Martin.

On February 15, 1947, in Racine she was united in marriage to Kenneth C. Wrixton. Arlene was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and life member of the DAV Auxiliary Chapter 9.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Kenneth; her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen (Jeff) DeLoia, Kathie (Mike) Cottonaro, all of Racine; five grandchildren, Ken (Kathy) Hinze, Kim (Pete) Leslie, Kyle DeLoia, Kari (Shawn) Zdrojewski, Mikey Cottonaro II (Autumn Owen); five great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Clem) Steinhoff; brother, Tony (Ruth) St. Martin; brother-in-law, Robert Sokolowski; sisters-in-law, Bette St. Martin, Audrey Dekeuster; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy St. Martin, Rita Sokolowski, Rosemary Marusich, Delores Krezinski; and brothers, Arthur and Frank.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Ave., with Rev. Bill Burkert officiating.  Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, Masses to be said in Arlene’s name have been suggested.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Ryan Engel, Dr. Gerald Wisniewski, and their respective staffs, and 3rd Floor staff at Wheaton Franciscan for their loving and compassionate care.
