Joyce E. (Johnson) Toslek

Joyce E. Toslek, age 86, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Wheaton-Franciscan Healthcare.  Joyce was born in Racine, July 27, 1923, daughter of the late William and Lottie (Nee:  Harbour) Johnson.

On May 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Gilbert W. Toslek Sr., who preceded her in death on July 28, 1998.  Joyce retired from J.I. Case Company after eighteen years of employment.   She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church.  Above all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert “Skip” (Barbara) Toslek of Racine; her three grandchildren, Jamie Toslek of Racine, WI, Kelley (Tim) Christman of Racine, Eric (Brittany) Toslek of Racine; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Patrick, Hunter and Glenndon; sister-in-law, Anna Johnson of Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mary Janz officiating.  Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Memorials to Emmaus Lutheran Church have been suggested.
