Betty J. (High) Carroll

Betty J. Carroll, age 76, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010, at her residence. Betty was born in Jackson, TN, September 28, 1934, daughter of the late Ottis and Duffie M. (Nee: Carroll) High.

She was united in marriage to Henry H. Carroll, who preceded her in death. Betty was employed at Goodwill Industries for several years. Betty was an avid bingo player. She devoted her life to her family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Betty will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her six children, Jeweline (John) Nunn, Michael Carroll, Sylvia (James) Rolle, Calvin Carroll, Greg Carroll, Antonio Carroll; her seven grandchildren, Carnel and Regina, Melissa, Tamika, Gregory, Darien, and Curtis; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vera (Richard) Caradine; brother-in-law, John (Dottie) Carroll; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her grandson, Robert Bridges.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Taures Pinson officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
