Charles M. Nelson, 48, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, November 21, 2010.
Charles Michael Nelson was born in Racine to the late Michael and Judith (nee: Winsall) on June 4, 1962. He was a lifelong resident of Racine.
Charles was proud to service his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1981 until 1989. He served in the First Marine Division as motor transport and instructor for driving the Motor T vehicles. He was also in the United States Army Reserve for ten more years. Charles was employed by Sheridan Auto Salvage for many years. He was a tinker with anything mechanical, especially his 1966 Chevelle. He loved hunting, guns and drawing. His family would say that his laugh was infectious.
Chuck will be dearly missed by his two brothers, Stuart (Sandra) Brown and Steven (Roberta) Nelson; nieces and nephews, Jason and Brian (Annika) MacDowell, Stuart M. Brown II, Amanda Gano, Megan Reed and Emily Nelson; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be private for the family only.
