William H. Dombrow, age 67, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Bill was born in Chicago, IL, on December 10, 1942, son of the late Wallace W. and Lucille M. (Nee: Schrik) Dombrow.
An excellent swimmer, Bill was a star on his swim team and was a lifeguard during his high school years in Chicago. On September 19, 1964, in Chicago, IL, he was united in marriage to Donna S. Werling. Bill was employed for many years as a Sales Manager at Printing Development Inc., retiring from International Paper in 1998. He served as a board member for Printing Industries of America, and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and AARP as a Tax Preparer. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Bill was an avid Bears fan who also enjoyed gardening, fishing, swimming and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Donna; his four children, Jennifer (David) Zebrowski of Racine, Chris (Melody) Dombrow of Appleton, Meg (Bruce) Backman of Menomonee Falls, Michael (Jennifer) Dombrow of Minneapolis, MN; his eight grandchildren, Kaeleigh, Claire, Ally and Abby Zebrowski, Madalyn Dombrow, Peter and Matthew Backman, Julia Dombrow; two brothers, Richard Dombrow of Sun City Center, FL, David Dombrow of Golconda, IL; sisters-in-law, Loudelle Werling of Wheeling, IL, Carol Werling of Grays Lake, IL, Betty Lynn (Lawrence) Ryan of Addison, IL; brother-in-law, Joseph Werling of Baton Rouge, LA; special friend, Gretchen Molter of Wheeling, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Sinclair.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 19, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., with Rev. Jack R. Flynn OSA officiating. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. P.M. until 7 p.m. and Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to Habitat for Humanity have been suggested.

Dear Donna & Family, I can't tell you how very sorry I was to hear of Bill's passing.You and your family are in my prayers at this difficult time. A special life has passed from sight... But never from our hearts. He will be missed but never forgotten.
