Estelle A. (Csavoy) Muleski

Surrounded by her family, Estelle A. Muleski, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Ridgewood Care Center. Estelle was born in Kenosha on July 26, 1925, daughter of the late Dominic and Anna (nee: Halmo) Csavoy.

On December 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Walter C. Muleski, who preceded her in death on December 28, 1985.  She spent her working life at Hamilton Beach, Racine Die Casting and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. During this time – and for many years after – she took great joy in feeding family and friends extraordinary, home-cooked meals that everyone hoped would be followed by her legendary carrot cake or chocolate chip cookies.

Estelle spent many years delivering Meals on Wheels, and was the proud recipient of the “Volunteer of the Year” award for countless hours of service to St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary, knitting thousands of intricate caps for newborns. She was also a lifetime Honorary Member of Fifth Street Yacht Club Women’s Auxiliary. She will be deeply missed for the many lives she touched in so many places.

Survivors include her children, Ann Riley of Sturtevant, Sue (Robert) Pocius of Egg Harbor, Jim (Debbie) Muleski of Racine;  grandchildren, Gary (Jason), Heather (Scott), Chris (Carrie), Carrie, Kelli (Mike), Joel, Raquel (Shanta), and Carmen;  15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Bonnie (Jim) Olley of Wentzville, MO, and family; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Walter Muleski; son-in-law, Gary L. Riley; and grandsons, Jimmy Muleski and Michael Villarreal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 16, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533  Erie St., with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m.  (Prayer Vigil at 2 p.m.) and Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of procession to the church at 10:00 a.m.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff of Ridgewood Care Center, especially Kim, Rachel, Tonya and Donna; and the staff of Allay Hospice, especially Chaplain Gene, Shalene, Bethany and Caitlyn.
