Lawrenceville, GA -- Margaret E. Warren, age 81, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Saturday March 31, 2012, after a brief illness.
She was born in Ashland, WI, on Jan. 21, 1931, the daughter of Harold G. and Esther H. (Englund) Sollie. She was a 1948 graduate of Ashland High School. After graduation from Northland College in 1952, she moved to Racine, WI where she met and married Harold “Scotty” E. Warren, on October 10, 1953. She worked as a librarian for the Racine Public Library until retiring in 1991. In 2008, she moved to the Atlanta area to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. Peg was a long-time member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Racine. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her by her parents; her husband; a sister, Mary Pritchard; and a brother, Paul Sollie.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Scott of Ashland, WI; daughter, Mary (Tom) Balsamides of Loganville, GA; son, Christopher, of Racine, WI; six grandchildren, Alisa, Jenna, Alexa, Kaitlyn, Michael and Brian; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, July 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Glenn Lawson officiating. Please meet at the cemetery entrance .In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name can be made to Plymouth Congregational Church in Racine or the Pritchard-Sollie-Thayer Scholarship Fund at Northland College in Ashland.
