Michael Anthony Luxem

Michael Anthony Luxem passed away in his home on July 22, 2012, at the age of 70. Mike was born in Racine on June 18, 1942, to Richard A Luxem and Florence Luxem.

Mike graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine in 1960 and worked for Walker Manufacturing for many years. After retirement, Mike moved to Eagle River, Wisconsin, where he pursued his great love of the outdoors. Mike's passion for fishing, hunting and four-wheeling took him through countless exciting adventures on the many great lakes surrounding Eagle River, all the while enjoying the breathtaking scenery and collecting fond memories with his friends, family and his beloved dog, Jake.

Mike is preceeded in death by his father, Richard Luxem; his mother, Florence Luxem; his brother, John Luxem; and his beloved dog, Jake. Mike is survived by his three children, Lora Liening of Van Alstyne, Texas, Traci Luxem of Parker, Texas, and Todd Luxem of Wylie, Texas; his grandchildren, Lacey Liening of Parker, Texas, Torri Liening and Logun Liening of Van Alstyne, Texas; his sister, Tony Matson of Arlington, Texas; brother, Tom Luxem of Whitewater, Wisconsin; and his half-brother, Ralph Seymour of Arizona.

A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 30 2012, at 1:30 p.m. followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from noon until time of service.
