Rosalie R. Kilsdonk, age 83, passed away Monday morning, July 9, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Rosalie was born April 30, 1929, in Milwaukee to Seymour and Ida (Nee: Silberg) Perchonok and was a resident of Racine since 1975.
She attended Washington High School in Milwaukee, graduating in 1947. Rosalie then attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and graduated from the Mt. Sinai School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1951. Roz worked as a nurse at the Veteran’s Hospital in Madison, Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Milwaukee, and at the A-Center in Racine. In 1952 she married Bernard Skurek, who preceded her in death. On December 21, 1974, she married Alfred “Al” Kilsdonk. Roz’s hobbies included golfing, needlework, reading, traveling and walking. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Al; her children, Lori (John) Kilsdonk, Karen (Tom) Evans, Michael (Michele) Skurek, Kathleen (David) Berwick, Mary Kay Garside; 12 grandchildren; brother, Fred (Barbara) Perchonok; brother-in-law, Ted Pittleman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Pittleman; and stepdaughter, Dr. Jane Sliwinski.
Funeral services with interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Ave., on Friday, July 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Rabbi Martyn Adelberg officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 200 S. Executive Drive STE 203, Brookfield, WI 53005 have been suggested.
