Delores M. (Simon) Orsted

Delores M. Orsted, age 89, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Delores was born in Baileys Harbor, WI, on May 28, 1923, daughter of the late George and Anne (Nee: Zak) Simon.

On September 5, 1946, at St. Edward Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Edward A. Orsted, who preceded her in death, July 15, 2005. Delores was employed by Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center for twenty-nine years in Pediatrics. She was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. In her spare time she loved socializing and playing cards, and she enjoyed time with her friends at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Marcia (Dave) Kellner, Linda (James) Luelloff, all of Racine, James Orsted of Madison; five grandchildren, John Kellner, Matthew (Tina) Kellner, Andrew Luelloff, Katie Luelloff and Lars Orsted; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Lexie; sister-in-law, Jeanne Simon of Waukesha; other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Simon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St., with Rev. Don Zerkel officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Memorials to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church or St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.
