Lucille Catherine Herms

Lucille C. Herms, age 96, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Lucille was born in Racine on July 24, 1916, the daughter of the late William and Elsie Herms (nee Ritter).

She was employed by the Dumore Corporation for over forty years, where she was an executive secretary. She was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church. For many years she was a volunteer with St. Luke's Auxiliary. Lucille enjoyed reading, playing bridge, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind and caring sister and aunt, and generously participated in the lives of her extended family. She was beloved Aunt Sis to all.

Lucille is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Florence Johnson of Racine, and Carole and James Schultz of Elm Grove; and many dear nieces and nephews: Ralph Herms, Jr., David Johnson, Randall Johnson, Pamela Milligan, Patricia Rutkowski, Thomas Rutkowski, Michael Schultz, Karen Soule, Trudy Spratta and Kathy Tokas, . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Rutkowski, and Ruth's husband, Peter; her brother, Ralph Herms, and his wife, Marion; her brother, William Herms; and her brother-in-law, Emerson Johnson.

Private funeral services were held at Grace Lutheran Church on March 2, 2013. Memorial donations can be given to Grace Lutheran Church.
