Frances 'Fran' A. (Jensen) Mielcarek

Sturtevant -- Surrounded by her loving family at her residence, Frances “Fran” A. Mielcarek, age 61, passed away after a courageous, three-year battle with cancer on Sunday, February 3, 2013 . Fran was born in Racine on May 3, 1951, daughter of the late John and Esther (Nee: Iusi) Jensen.

On May 3, 1990, she was united in marriage to Daniel “Dan” Mielcarek. Fran was employed for a number of years by Ridgewood Care Center and was last working at Sears. She enjoyed gardening, keeping her home meticulous, traveling, especially the Harley trips. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of twenty-two years, Dan; her son, Dexture Iusi of Milwaukee; her special grandson, Dexture Iusi II; brothers and sisters, Marilyn Jensen of Racine, Joe (Joan) Jensen of Rhinelander, Bob (Dorothy) Jensen of Racine, Dick (Glo) Jensen of Las Vegas, NV, Kitty O’Connor of Milwaukee, Steve (Barb) Jensen of Racine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard (Debbie) Mielcarek, Jeanette (Tom) Aegarter; nieces, nephews, other relatives, three very dear friends, Karolina Hagedorn, Janice Betchkal, Betsy Vincent; and other friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel W. Mielcarek; sister, Loretta (Richard) Brule, and brother, John Jensen.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Memorials to Aurora Foundation in support of Aurora Cancer Care Racine, 950 North 12th Street, Suite A511, Milwaukee, WI 53233 have been suggested.
