Francesco C. Morrone

Francesco C. Morrone, 78, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center.  He was born in Marano Principato, Calabria, Italy, on August 15, 1934, son of Mariano and Fiorina (Nee:  Chiappetta) Morrone.

He married Teresa Ranzini, and in September 1976 they moved to Racine, Wisconsin, with their four sons.    Francesco worked at the post office in Italy and at Racine Steel Castings for 23 years.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be dearly missed.

Survivors are his sons, Mariano (Monika) Morrone, Massimo (Melody) Morrone, Robert Morrone and John (Cindy) Morrone; grandchildren, Nicole, Chris, Frank, Anthony, Elizabeth, Marco, Nicola, Riley, Jade, Dylan; and great-grandchildren, Jodicie, Jacob, Haley, Jonathan, Gavin, Devon and Julian; sister, Mirella DeRango; brother, Alfonso Morrone (in Italy); several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from  9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.    Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32, Caledonia.  Memorials to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society are suggested.
