Barbara J. (d'Aoust) Peterson

Barbara J. Peterson, age 78, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014. Barbara was born in Racine on April 29, 1936, daughter of the late Alford and Rachel (nee: Christensen) D’Aoust and was a lifelong resident.

On July 10, 1954, Barbara was united in marriage to William A. Peterson. In her spare time she enjoyed camping with their RV in Palmyra, shopping at thrift stores and rummage sales. Above all, Barb was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, William; children, Cynthia Koss, Donald Peterson, John Peterson; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Nejedly; brother-in-law, Robert (Agnes) Peterson; sister-in-law, Joyce Peterson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her son, David; and her sister, Phyllis.

Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home for a time of visitation and celebrating Barbara’s life on Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
