On August 23, 1941, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Minnie T. De Lorenzo, who preceded him in death on January 12, 1999. He retired from General Motors after fourteen years of service. Buff was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Roma Lodge. An excellent baker, Buff also enjoyed tailoring, photography and winemaking. He devoted his life to his family and cherished time spent with them. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his children, Thomas (Doris) Fiorita, Suzanne (Thomas) Meredith, James Fiorita; his grandchildren, Mark Fiorita, Michael (Leanna) Fiorita, Matthew (Ann) Fiorita, Jon (Dawn) Hunter, Jeanette (Bryan) Schneider, Timothy Fiorita, Nina Fiorita; great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Rebecca Fiorita, Jessica Hunter, Alexis and Gizelle Schneider, Rocco and Nico Fiorita, Kendall and Cameron Fiorita; sister-in-law, Mary Fairbanks; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Minnie, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary (Fred) Metzger, Adeline (James) Falaschi and Rose (Leo) Sollazo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating, assisted by Deacon Russell Missureli. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to Health Care Network Inc., 904 State Street, Racine, WI 53404 have been suggested.
