Ivy I. (Learned) Kirchenwitz

Ivy I. Kirchenwitz, age 77, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, at her residence in Tucson, AZ. Ivy was born in Pearson, WI, on June 28, 1932, daughter of the late Earl and Cora (Nee: McIntosh) Learned. Ivy was a resident of Wisconsin until 2000 when she moved to Arizona.

On August 29, 1949, she was united in marriage to Sidney G. Kirchenwitz. She was employed by Western Publishing for many years until retirement in 1993. Ivy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-one years, Sidney; her children, Cynthia (Roger) David, Mark Kirchenwitz (Sue Herling), Kirk Kirchenwitz, Kim Kirchenwitz, Craig (Jodi) Kirchenwitz; five  grandchildren, Heather (Frederick) Rausch, Sean David, Adam Kirchenwitz, Zachary Kirchenwitz, Alicyn Kirchenwitz; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe, Samantha and Isabella Rausch, Antoinette, Makenzie, Kadence, and Dakota Kirchenwitz; brother-in-law, Sheldon (Lois) Kirchenwitz; sister-in-law, Verna Kirchenwitz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Joyce (Harvey) Blythe, Pauline (Robert) Resch and Carole (Raymond) Resch; brothers, Arland and Paul Learned; sisters-in-law, Georgette (Robert) Babcock, Virginia (Julius) Houf; and brother-in-law, Eugene Kirchenwitz.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 2010, at noon at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Heinert officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon.
