Eleanor L. Suwalski, age 78, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, July 23, 2012. She was born in Chicago, IL, December 6, 1933, daughter of the late Anton and Berta (Nee: Hornstein) Spielberger.
On November 27, 1954, she was united in marriage to Joseph F. Suwalski, who preceded her in death on November 14, 1988. Eleanor retired from UW-Parkside where she was employed as an administrative assistant. Eleanor was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and a former longtime member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Connie) Suwalski, Pat Suwalski, Sharon (Steve) Chamberlain; grandchildren, Amanda Schroud, Courtney (Ryan) Cushman, Christopher Suwalski, Casey, Cody and Ian Chamberlain; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Xavier Schroud, and Landon Cushman; other relatives and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 6 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Reverend Terry Huebner officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday at the church from 4 p.m. until time of Mass. Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Cancer Society or the Dekoven Foundation have been suggested.
