Catherine 'Cathy' Louise (McIntyre) Novak

Kenosha -- Catherine “Cathy” Louise Novak of Kenosha died on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at United Hospital Systems in Kenosha.  She was  67.  Born in Racine on January 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emily (Buch) McIntyre.

Cathy attended Catholic schools in Racine, graduating from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine in 1964.  She married Walter “Wally” Novak of Racine on October 2, 1965. They had been married 47 years when Wally recently died on June 6, 2013.  During her career, Cathy worked in medical records at clinics and hospitals in Racine and Kenosha.  She retired from United Hospital Systems in Kenosha in 2009.  A longtime, avid fan of Elvis Presley, Cathy enjoyed listening to his music, collecting Elvis memorabilia and occasionally going to see an Elvis impersonator perform.  But the happiest times of her life were spent with her beloved husband, Wally, her family and good friends.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, John McIntyre.  She is survived by her brother, Thomas (Nan) McIntyre of Rockville, MD; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4816 Seventh Ave., Kenosha, on Monday, July 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Sean Granger officiating. Relatives and friends may meet Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the Town of Dover.
