Raymond 'Ray' Prudhom

Raymond “Ray” P. Prudhom, age 79, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014, at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center.  Ray was born in Racine on June 7, 1935, son of Albert and Anna (Nee: DeFatte) Prudhom.

Ray was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1954.”  After graduation he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.  Ray was employed for many years as a bus driver for Teamsters Belle Urban System until his retirement in 1993.  He was a loving and devoted son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his children, Michael (Debbi) Prudhom, Shelley Prudhom, all of Racine, David (Kristine) Prudhom of Elm Grove, WI, Chris (Brenda) Prudhom of New Port Richey, FL, Darren (Karen) Prudhom of Franksville; 11 grandchildren, Leslie, Brianne, Brandon, Libby, Robin, Jason, Matt, Andy, Katie, Ashley, Haley; six great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Madison, Zoey, Parker, Piper, Finley; brother, Gene (Mary Ann) Prudhom of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Prudhom; mother, Anna (Robert) Morris; first wife, Mary Ann Prudhom; brothers, Fred and Larry Prudhom.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Private interment with Full Military Honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover.  Memorials to the Racine Marine Corps League have been suggested.
