Dorothy June Taube

Mrs. Dorothy June Taube, 94, passed away at Bay Pointe Assisted Living on Thursday, May 17, 2012.

June was born in Wingham, Ontario, Canada, to the late William and Ethyl (nee: Tipling) Buchanan on June 12, 1917. She was united in marriage to Edward Taube in 1943. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2000.

June was an English teacher and enjoyed reading, traveling and learning experiences with Elder Hostel. She favored human rights, environmental causes and was active in the League of Women Voters.

June is survived by her son, Rick Taube of Alexandria, VA; her granddaughter, Emma Taube; her brother, Donald Stearns of Ohio; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
