Violet was an independent lady, who was proud to maintain her house on her own. She often was able to scrub the floors on her hands and knees. Violet was an avid collector of Hummel figurines and also enjoyed playing cards, especially Rummy 500 and Schafkopf. But most of all, she was a very kind and lovable person who will be missed.
Violet is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ronald W. Mau, Shirley Bleichner, Carol Krenzke, David Mau, John Mau, Sue Ellen Raasch, Kathy Johnson and Tom Stonehouse; sister-in-law, Virginia Mau; as well as many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brothers, Vernon, James, John III and Earl Mau.
Funeral services in honor of Violet will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
