Sue Ann (Young) Farthing

Sue Ann Farthing, age 83, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Franklin, IN, July 19, 1928 daughter of the late George and Christine (Nee: Smith) Young.

On November 24, 1961, in Franklin she was united in marriage to Robert E. Farthing, who preceded her in death on September 14, 1994. Sue was employed by Racine Unified School District as a receptionist in the central office, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandson. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are daughters, Sandra (Mark) Wood of Greenwood, IN, Robin Golden and Stanley Bell of Indianapolis, IN, Kimberly (Winifred) Teague of Racine; grandchildren, Terri (Mike) Hicks, Keeliah (Marcus) Hampton, Anthony Golden, Nathaniel Novell, Kayon Teague; 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Hazelwood; a grandson, Michael Hopkins; a great-grandson, Tristan Michael Hopkins; and a sister, Patricia Kellogg.

Private services were held. Memorials to the American Heart Assn have been suggested.
