During the Korean War Edmund proudly served with the United States Marine Corps stationed in Japan. He was honorably discharged on April 10, 1959. On February 27, 1960 he was united in marriage to Virginia D. Borowski, who preceded him in death on January 30, 1997.
He was employed as a journeyman electrician by AMC Chrysler for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1997. He will forever be remembered as the greatest father and friend that anyone could wish for. “God Bless you, Dad, and rest in peace.”
Survivors include his son, Thomas A. Howard; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Edmund Howard, June 24, 2011.
Private services with full military honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Donations in remembrance of Edmund may be made to U.S. Veteran’s charities or to the Catholic Church.
