Michael “Jake” William Jacobson, age 60, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Hospice House in Kenosha. Michael was born in Racine on April 7, 1952, son of the late Herbert and Evelyn (Nee: Saas) Jacobson.
Mike graduated from J.I. Case High School “Class of 1970” and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 - 1976. On December 9, 1978, he was united in marriage to Mary Lucksted. Through the years he was employed as a sheet metal fabricator by Bert Jensen & Sons, Illinois Range and Martin Petersen Company. Mike was avid Packers and Brewers Fan. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his siblings, Mary (Jack), Kathy and John (Carol); nephews and nieces, Matthew, Sean, Lee, Lori (Keith), Jodi, Kelly; and his “little love,” his great-niece, Ava Jacobson; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Michael Herbert.
Private services will be held with interment at West Lawn Memorial Park.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Julie, Jan, Dean, and Sally from Hospice Alliance and Dr. Ridolfi and Dr. Currey from Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center for their loving care.
