Patricia J. (Kavis) Gertz

Patricia Jean Gertz, age 71, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Humble, TX. Patricia was born in Kenosha, WI, on January 17, 1941, daughter of the late Clifford Kavis and Winifred (Nee: Mack) Kavis Kaldenberg.

She was a hard worker who always took care of her family and others. She waitressed at a number of restaurants including Heckels, George Webb and The White Diner. She was a caring, loving person who was always willing to help people. She will be dearly missed by loving family and friends.

Surviving are her loving daughter, Diana Duerst and fiancé Robert Troughton, John Kavis and Richard Kavis; grandchildren, Amy, Felicia , Brittany, James, David, Josh and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Holli, Leila , Diezel, Ryla, Bryce and Jazaerion; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Gertz and Kendal Leonard; a brother, Clifford Kavis; and a sister, Judith Corwin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend_John Flemming_officiating. Interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Sunday from 4-6 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
