Gisela Kostic, age 81, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan–All Saints Medical Center. Gisela was born in Hamburg, Germany, on November 5, 1930, daughter of the late Julius and Marie (Nee: Drechsel) Horneburg.
On February 19, 1948, she was united in marriage to Ilija Kostic, who preceded her in death on May 14, 2009. Gisela was employed by Rainfair for forty-three years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ilona V. (John) Willing of Racine; her granddaughter, Tiffany Willing (Stephen) Dillinger; great-grandchildren, Paige and Daniel Dillinger, all of Chicago; sister, Ellen Peltz of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother-in-law, Todor Kostic of Leskova, Serbia; sister-in-law, Waltraud Horneburg of Hamburg, Germany; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilhelm, Erwin, Herbert, Werner and Kurt.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
