Martin F. Putz

Martin F. Putz, “Marty,” age 69, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Beloit, WI, on April 14, 1943, son of the late Martin and Margaret (Nee: Engber) Putz Sr.

 Marty graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1961” and then from Dominican College in 1967. In 1981 he received his master's degree in education from Central Michigan University. Marty was employed as a medical technologist at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years and served as educational coordinator for the medtech program, retiring from JV Laboratories.

Through the years Marty managed softball and volleyball teams and created many lifelong friendships. Marty enjoyed photography and loved all types of music. He followed local musicians and was a big supporter and promoter of live music. Following retirement, he enjoyed splitting his time between Racine and Vero Beach, FL. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his sister, Christie Putz; cousins and many dear friends.

Per Marty’s wishes, private services were held. Memorials to St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.
