Pearl H. (Kleist) Dunn

Pearl H. Dunn, age 84, passed away Monday October 8, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center.  Pearl was born in Milwaukee on December 21, 1927, daughter of the late Emil and Louise (nee: Hoernke) Kleist.

On March 29, 1946, in Milwaukee, she was united in marriage to James Allen Dunn, who preceded her in death January 19, 1998.  In her younger years Pearl was employed with Bell Telephone and was an onsite meal coordinator and manager with Lincoln Lutheran.  She was a charter member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church.  Pearl was an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts, served on their Board of Directors and as director of the Trefoil Camp, and with St. Mary’s Medical Center and Auxiliary. Above all, she loved caring for and spending time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Ralph (Diane) Dunn of Caledonia, Karen Dunn of Racine, Carol (Daniel) Nelson of Waukesha, James Dunn of Door County; grandchildren, Christopher Dunn, Mandy (Cale) Anderson, Stefanie (Thomas) Haley, Daniel (Karolyn) Nelson, Rhonda (Andrew) Chastain and Matthew Geschke; great-grandchildren, James and Michaela Dunn, Brandon and Kaylee Laschiava, Leah Chastain and Aiden Dunn:  sister, Ruth Lehman of CA;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Carol Dunn;  her brother, Louis Burkhart

Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 1015 4 Mile Rd., on Thursday October 11, 2012, at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Michael Mueller officiating.  Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m.
