William T. George, “Bill,” age 62, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan - All Saints Medical Center. William was born in Racine on November 28, 1949, son of the late Peter M. and Margaret M. (Nee: Beres) George and was a lifelong resident of Racine.
Bill attended St. Joseph Grade School and was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1968.” Furthering his education, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Parkside and Master's degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
On October 30, 1971, at St. Joseph Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Terry L. Scott. Bill was employed by J.I. Case Company CNH for thirty-seven years. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, J.I. Case “20 Year Club,” and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Bill’s passion was golfing, vacationing with his family, and his career at CNH. He also enjoyed home design and improvements, gardening, and world travel -- especially to Germany and Japan. Most of all, he cherished and devoted his life to his family. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-one years, Terry; his three daughters, Laura (Jason) Monosa, Caroline (Andrew) Beere, Michelle (Aaron) Rogers; his grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis and Emily Monosa, Benjamin, Rebekah and Samuel Beere, Kailee George, Maximilian and Alexander Rogers; brothers and sisters, James (Nancy) George, Mary (Thomas) Simonsen, Timothy (Kathy) George, Dorothy Lingard, Susan (Rick) Gehrig, Charles (Cindy) George; brothers-in-law, Alan (Virginia) Scott, Robert (Sheila) Scott, Ken Scott; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. Memorials to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association have been suggested.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane and staff, the nursing staff on 3D and all the staff who cared for Bill during his stay at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints for their loving and compassionate care.
