Katie Rachel Van Schyndel, age 26, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 4, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Menomonee Falls, WI, on August 30, 1986, daughter of Ronald and Jacqueline (Nee: Tousey) Wilson.
Katie grew up in Kewaskum. She enjoyed traveling and enjoyed a year of missionary work with Operation Mobilization Luke in England. On May 2, 2008, in Mt. Pleasant she was united in marriage to Christian G. Van Schyndel. Katie was a devoted wife and mother, and a beloved daughter and sister. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Christian; sons, Christian Alexander and Micah Paul; her parents, Ronald and Jacqueline Wilson of Kewaskum; her brother, Paul Wilson; grandparents, Barbara Tousey, Joseph and Gloria Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Christian “Mark” and Janet Van Schyndel of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law, Brian (Michelle) Van Schyndel; aunts and uncles, Ann and Craig Walters, Kelly and Steve Baetz, Amy and Brian Hubbard, Mike and Tracy Wilson, Rick and Kelly Wilson, Paula Trobridge; a niece, two nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Katie was preceded in death by grandfather, Leo Tousey; uncles, Michael Tousey and Craig Trobridge; and a cousin, Maggie Hubbard.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Church, 3626 Hwy 31, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Mark Trinkl officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials to the family for her boys' education have been suggested.
