Ronald 'Jake' J. Jacob

Surrounded by his loving family, Ronald “Jake” J. Jacob, age 82, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012, at his residence.  He was born in Racine, WI, on February 2, 1930, son of the late Francis S. and Gertrude E. (Nee:  Koloske) Jacob.

He proudly served as Sergeant in the United States Air Force.  Jake graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1957 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  On the following day, June 22, 1957, at the First Congregational Church in Kenosha, he was united in marriage to Marilyn “Mimi” J. Young who preceded him in death, January 9, 2005.  Jake was employed as an Electrical Engineer for many years at Delco Electronics.  He was a member of Christ Church-United Methodist.   He was an avid Wisconsin Badgers fan and enjoyed golfing and traveling, but most of all he cherished special memories with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his daughters, Pamela (Patrick) Conner, Julie Jacob, all of Racine; two grandchildren, Britt and Shane; sister-in-law, Helen Strangberg of Kenosha; nieces and nephews, Karen Strangberg (Dick Laba), Sue (Jack) Rose, Edward “Chip” Young, Steve (Deby) Young; other relatives and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 3, 20012, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Ann Utke officiating.   Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m.
