Bryan C. Weems

Fort Worth, TX -- Bryan C. Weems, age 41, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, March 1, 2012, due to a motorcycle accident. Bryan was born in Hattiesburg, MS, on January 10, 1971, son of Billy W. Weems and Kristine M. (Nee: Olson) Buscemi. He was a resident of Racine up until this past September when he relocated to Texas.

Bryan was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1989.” Bryan was an extremely talented athlete and was exceptional in volleyball, soccer and baseball. After graduation, Bryan carried his passion for baseball to the softball field and was still in numerous leagues. He also played in tournaments and was an umpire in his spare time. He was infamously known in southeastern Wisconsin as “two-five.” He was last employed by Thermadyne Inc.

Bryan touched the lives of many people with his generosity, his final gift being an organ donor. And as his youngest son said, “Daddy isn’t going to heaven, he is going to softball paradise.” He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his five children, Ashley, Briana, Justin, Bryon and Aryzona; his fiancée, Jacki Mallek and her four children, Jake, Karleigh, Kelsi and Jeremy; his parents, Bill Weems, Kris Buscemi (John Druktenis); stepfather, Joe Buscemi; sisters, Tonya (Brian) Goepfert, Sarah Buscemi, Becky Buscemi, Regan Weems, Ashley Weems; his grandma, Betty Trossen; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Inez Weems, Roland Olson; great-grandparents, Harold (Agnes) Hegge; and cousin, Tyler Trossen.

Rev. Warren William will be officiating a Memorial Service to be held at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Ave., on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Northshore Bank, Acct. ending in 9975. A benefit is also being held for hospital bills and his children on March 25, 2012, at Fountain Banquet Hall, 8505 Durand Ave., in Sturtevant from 2-9 p.m.
