Diane M. Benish

Diane M. Benish, age 57, passed away Friday March 16, 2012, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Racine, September 15, 1954, the third of ten children of Willard and Eleanor (Nee: Barstow) Benish.

Diane enjoyed playing cards, swimming and searching for the best deal at rummage sales and thrift shops. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her grandkids. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her son, Chris (Kelly) Benish; her four beloved grandchildren, Crystal, Christian, Christina and Kayla; her parents Willard and Eleanor Benish; her siblings, Florence (Virgil) Michels, Tom (Sue) Benish, Cindy Benish, Mark (Sheri) Benish, Sandy (Dana) Lawrence, Tim (Traci) Benish, Theresa (Morris) Sims, Lisa (Jack) Tcheordikian; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St., Wednesday March 21, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
