Jack Arnold Eschmann

Foxfire, NC -- Jack A. Eschmann, 75, passed away at Moore County Firsthealth Regional Hospital on March 3, 2012. Mr. Eschmann was born on January 21, 1937, in Racine, WI. He was the son of Arnold and Freda Eschmann, who were lifelong residents of Racine.

On February 18, 1961, he was joined in matrimony to Barbra Ann Black, who was from the Washington, DC, area. They had just recently celebrated their fifty-first wedding anniversary. Jack and Barbra were attending church services in Pinehurst, NC, and were active in their church.

As a child and young adult, Jack was active in the boy scouts, the Racine Kilties, of which he was the Drum Major, also the Boys of 76 Drum and Bugle Corps and the American Legion. Jack was a proud graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1955.” He served his country in the Marine Corps in which he was active in the Marine Bugle Corps, of which he was very proud.

He was an Industrial Engineer, working for AMC, The Chrysler Corp. as well as Rantoul Products. He and his wife relocated toNorth Carolina upon retirement. Those left behind: his wife Barbra Eschmann; their three children: Lenee’ D. (Tommy) Sharak, their children, Elizabeth (Mathew and great-grandson Sebastian) Small, and Sarah Sharak of Marine City, MI, Aaron C. Eschmann of Foxfire, North Carolina, Jerod S. Eschmann (Angie) and their three children: Valerie, April (great-grandson Dade) and Noah Eschmann, of Toledo, Ohio. Also among the survivors are his brothers, Charles (Mary) Eschmann and their children, Gregory (Machelle) Eschmann and their two children, Bailey and Sawyer, who reside in Wausau, WI; Steven (Karen) Eschmann and their three children, Jennifer (Seattle), Sarah and Charlie, who reside in Racine, WI; and his youngest brother, Robert Eschmann, who also resides in Racine, WI.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday, March 16, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 17,2012, at 9 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel,   9000 Washington Ave., Racine, WI, where he will be laid to rest alongside his parents, Arnold and Freda Eschmann.
