Robert A. Foley

Robert A. Foley, age 94, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012, at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI.  Robert was born in Little Chute, WI, on September 9, 1917, son of the late James and Theodora (Nee:  Williamsen) Foley.

Robert proudly served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theatre in the Battle of the Bulge.  On September 13, 1947, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Racine he was united in marriage to Erma Kriesel, who preceded him in death on July 16, 2006.   Robert was employed by Racine Die Cast for many years.  He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sturtevant.  He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his children, Robert (Mary) Foley of Shorewood, WI, Judy (Alan) Albende of Brown Deer, WI; his grandson, David Kim Foley of Greenfield, WI; his great-grandson, Jacob; brothers, Jerome Foley of Racine, James Foley of Denver, CO, Clyde (Rosie) Foley of Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas Erickson of Union Grove, Goldene Kriesel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Hank, Virginia, Edward, Terrance, Gloria and Donna.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 8600 Durand Ave., on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey E. Mortensen officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.  Interment with full military honors will be held Monday, August 27, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover.  Memorials to the American Lung Association have been suggested.
