Marilyn Rannow

Marilyn T. Rannow, age 85, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Marilyn was born in Racine on October 12, 1927, daughter of the late Anthony and Gertrude (Nee: Peil) Frank.

On May 8, 1948, she was united in marriage to Louis A. Rannow. Marilyn was employed by Twin Disc for thirty-four years, retiring in 1989. Marilyn was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Catholic Woman’s Club. An avid quilter and sewer, Marilyn also enjoyed volunteering at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Hospital. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-four years, Louis; her children, Susan (Ronald) Haas, Patricia (Terry) Rigby, Louis (Karen) Rannow, Peggy (Tom) Nielsen, Judy (Paul) Erickson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; five great-step grandchildren; brothers, John (Bernadine) Frank of Waukesha, Anthony Frank of AZ; sister-in-law, Geri Rannow; nieces, nephews, special cousins, other relatives and many dear friends, especially Pat, LaVerne, and Margaret.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 10, 2013, at noon at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Rev. Richard J. Molter officiating. Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at noon. Memorials to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or to St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.
