Mary C. Adams

Mary C. Adams, age 61, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Racine on September 11, 1951, daughter of the late Gervase and Alice (Nee: Vosika) Kettinger.

On February 2, 1980, Mary was united in marriage to William Adams.  She began her career working with Racine County at the Social Services Department and advanced to Chief Deputy County Clerk.  Various other jobs followed in bookkeeping, with JK Management, Main St. Bistro and Lauren Murphy Payne Associates.

Surviving are her husband, Bill; sons, Rick Thompson, Christopher Adams; daughter, Jessica Adams; grandson, Caleb Thompson all of Racine, sister, Julie (Glen) Pederson of Nekoosa, WI; brother-in-law, Kenneth Adams of East Troy, WI; sister-in-law, Virginia (Alex) Napolitano of The Villages, FL; nieces and nephews; Hope (Jake) Otto of Rochester, WI; Erica (Aaron) Smits of Green Bay, WI; Jason Pederson of Racine, Keith (Susan) Napolitano of Lincoln, NE; Scott (Sue) Napolitano of Lincoln, NE; very special friends, Esther Thompson and Brenda Danculovich; other relatives and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating.  Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Private burial will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover.

Because of Mary’s need for an organ transplant and her generous gift of life to her sister Julie, by donating her stem cells, the family would encourage memorials to Donate Life Wisconsin Inc.
