Ione M. (Tuttle) Theres

Ione Marion Theres, age 90, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at her residence. She was born in Waukegan, IL, on March 19, 1923, the 4th of eight children of the late Fred and Verna (Nee: Biesack) Tuttle.

On July 2, 1949, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church she was united in marriage to the Love of her life, Donald J. Theres, who preceded her in death on August 5, 2011. Ione had been employed by Wisconsin Telephone Co., J.I. Case Company, Rexnord, Moxness Products and by Wadewitz Elementary School with the lunch program. She was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed skiing, dancing, cards, painting, golf, bowling, traveling with Don around the United States in their RV and spending winters in Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are four children, Deborah Theres of Warren, MI, Gregory (Pamela) Theres of Galesville, WI, Gwynne Theres of Milwaukee, Donelle (Gregory) Slade of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Noelle (Eric) Grunwald, Kyle (Sarah) Theres, AshLey (Nate) Grochowski, KatiLyn Theres, Gregory Jr., Antonio and Alycia Slade, Claira, Paloma, Renee and London; great-grandchildren, JT and Alaric Theres, Lilly Lauer and Donovan and Savannah Grochowski, Sierra Grunwald; a sister, Donna Euting of Kenosha; sister-in-law, Bernice Tuttle of Racine. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, RalphAnn; six siblings, Harold, Evelyn, Willard, Fred, Beverly and Elaine.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., with Rev. Kevin Mullins OSA officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Memorials to the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation or one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
