Robert W. Buckley

Robert W. Buckley, age 71, was born into eternal life, Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Robert was born in Neenah, WI, July 22, 1941, son of the late William and Lorna M. (Nee: Parker) Buckley.

Robert was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1959.” On February 1, 1975,   he was united in marriage to Helene “Honey” D. Rizzo at Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was a longtime active member. At the church he served on the board of trustees, as head usher, and volunteered for various other activities.

Robert was employed as a master plumber by Dickert Bros. Plumbing, and lastly by Mechanical Associates of Wisconsin, retiring in 2003. He belonged to the Plumbers Union #118 where he also served on the apprenticeship board. He was also a member of Roma Lodge, where he loved playing bocce.

A history buff, Robert enjoyed reading nonfiction, gardening, traveling, was an avid golfer, and was a huge Packers and Brewers fan. He always looked forward to his morning coffee visits at McDonald’s with his buddies. Most of all he treasured time with his family, especially their vacation to Disney World. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Helene “Honey;” his children, John Neibaur of Gurnee, IL, Jim Neibaur, Sandi Lane, both of Racine; his four grandchildren, Nicholas Lane, Christopher Lane, both of Racine, Max Neibaur of Milwaukee, Hayden Merryn (Alan) Van Hulzen of Scottsdale, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Angela Van Hulzen, Christan Scott, Rigel Van Hulzen; brother, Peter (Cheryl) Buckley of Racine; nephew, Dan (Jody) Buckley of Columbia, MO; niece, Beth Musil of Racine; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Diana (Triggiano) Neibaur; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Josephine Rizzo.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 3, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3825 Erie St., with Rev. Rosalind Dryver-Scott officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Memorials to Trinity United Methodist Church have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Paul Durbin and to the many dear friends and relatives for their help and compassionate support.
