Eugene 'Jim' Davis

Surrounded by his loving family, Eugene “Jim” Davis, age 64, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at his residence.   He was born in Detroit, MI, on December 13, 1949, son of the late Eugene and Marilyn (Nee:  Frederickson) Davis.

On January 31, 1970, he was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Therkelsen, who preceded him in death, July 15, 2013. He was employed by Young Radiator for twenty-five years until his retirement in 1998. Jim was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. An avid outdoorsman, Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved sports and especially rooting for the Bears. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are his daughters, Ann Routheaux of Union Grove, Patricia Davis of Kenosha, Bridget Davis of Racine; his six grandchildren, Kevin, Megan, Ryan, Brianne, Brennan, and Ethan; brothers and sisters, Dennis (Lori) Davis of Sturtevant, Kathy Tyborski, David Davis, both of Racine, Cheryl Stedman of Chetek, Chuck Davis of AL, Dawn Davis of Sturtevant; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Randy) Wagner of Sturtevant, Theresa (Ricky) Peterson of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, John.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Jones officiating.   Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until time of service at 4:30 p.m. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue.
