Richard Lowe Jandl  (1924-2014)  passed away peacefully on July 29, 2014  at the age of 90 in his home town, Racine WI.

His three children, Rae Fortin of Bradford, MA, Will Jandl of Brookline, NH, and James Jandl of Lexington, MA. were at his side. Along with his children and their spouses, he is survived by his sister, Dorothy Lingsweiler, Racine, WI; his brother, Robert Jandl, Racine, WI; and seven grandchildren.

Prior to WWII he attended The Citadel and graduated from the University of Wisconsin after returning from the service. He also received a graduate degree from the Harvard Business School. His executive management career included roles as CEO, Velcro Inc.; Executive Director, New England Aquarium; Director of Marketing, United Shoe Machinery Corp.; Executive Director, Union Hospital in Lynn, MA. He was a co-founder and principal of McKenna Jandl Associates, pioneers in the executive outplacement industry. A resident of the Boston area, he had most recently returned to live in his home town of Racine, WI, after a number of retirement years in Camarillo, CA.

A WWII veteran, “Dick” served in occupied France and in Burma. He enjoyed travel, gardening and was an avid fisherman making numerous trips to Central America, Baja and the Gulf Coast to catch and release big game salt water species.

As it was his wish, no wake or funeral service is scheduled. His request was that for those who would be inclined to celebrate his life, not his death, in their own personal manner.
