Jeannette L. (Frank) Jorgenson

Jeannette Lillian (Nee: Frank) Jorgenson of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, after a short illness.  She was born September 2, 1923, to the late Russell and Lilah (Nee: Meyer) Frank of Racine.

Jeannette graduated from Park High School, worked as “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II, and then graduated from UW-Madison.  In 1947 she was united in marriage to Arthur Jorgenson, who preceded her in death on May 2, 2012. Together they founded Plastic Parts, Inc. of Union Grove in 1966.  Jeannette devoted her life to her church and family.  She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Jacqueline (Mark) Kartman of Coon Valley, Wisconsin, Sharon Jorgenson, Jeff (Katie) Jorgenson, and Jill (Christopher) Osiecki, all of Racine, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Paul (Karen) Kartman of Circle Pines, Minnesota, Ben (Katherine) Kartman of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Brenna  Osiecki,  Branden Osiecki,  Maddie Johnston,  Gavin Johnston, Mara Johnston, David Johnston, Jenna Johnston,  J.P. Jorgenson, Lily Jorgenson, Caleb Jorgenson; great grandson, Colby Kartman; sisters and brothers, Marian (Elmo) Halverson of Racine, Glenn (Judy) Frank of Menomonee, Wisconsin, Lorraine Spong Scoville of Naperville, Illinois, Virginia “Ginger” (Richard) Lambrecht  of Janesville, Wisconsin; brother-in-law, James Engholt of Racine.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 212 11th St., with Rev. John Fleming officiating.  Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.  Memorials to Gideons International or to the Evangelical United Methodist Youth and Children’s Ministry have been suggested.
