Benjamin M. Villalpando

Sturtevant -- Benjamin M. Villalpando, age 92, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Benjamin was born in Dodge City, Kansas, on February 29, 1920, son of the late Anastacio and Catalina (Nee: Villalobos) Villalpando.

On March 23, 1946, in Racine he was united in marriage to Helen I. Miller, who preceded him in death on September 24, 2005. Benjamin retired from J.I. Case Co. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Benjamin enjoyed building model airplanes, gardening, watching birds, playing bingo and coffee klatching. Above all, he was devoted to his family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his children, Mike (Rita) Villalpando of Japan, Pat Villalpando of Holcombe, WI, Kenny Villalpando of Tomah, WI, Benny Villalpando of Phoenix, AZ, Jean Micech of Racine, Rebecca (John) Borup of Waukesha, Antonette “Kookie” (Robert) Niemiec of Sturtevant, WI; 30 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brother, Joseph Villalpando of Tampa, FL; sisters, Virginia Villalpando of Milwaukee, WI, Florence (Dan) Sanders of IA, Victoria Garza of Carol Stream, IL, Reyna (Tim) Taggart of Eagle, WI, Maria Villalpando of Sturtevant, WI; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sons, Jerry Villalpando and Gary Price; daughters-in-law, Yoshi Villalpando and Joan Villalpando; brothers and sisters, Peter (Shirley) Villalpando, Annie Villalpando, Trina (Richard) Sueraz, and Benita (Eljiio) Overia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. followed by interment at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
