Julie 'Tilly' J. (Rumage) Goldys

Julie “Tilly” J. Goldys, age 58, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Julie was born in Racine, August 5, 1953, daughter of Donald V. and JoAnn J. (Nee: Peterka) Rumage.

On November 8, 2004, in Hawaii she was united in marriage to her best friend and soulmate, Michael A. Goldys. Julie was passionate about her job as shipping coordinator with Twin Disc and took much satisfaction in working for the United Way campaigns at Twin Disc. She loved animals, especially cats, and she enjoyed softball, bowling, playing pool and riding horses. She devoted her life to her family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of seven years, Michael; her children, Mary Jo Nelson, Chris (Marna) Thillemann, Tony Goldys; her five grandchildren, Anthony, Brett, RyAnn, Jack Ryan and Nicholas; her mother, JoAnn Cormack; sisters, Fran Hahn, Sue Rumage; nephew and niece, Alex and Kelsey Guralski; stepsisters Peggy (Charlie) Palleson and Pamela VandeLoop; sister-in-law Barb (Dale) Vargo; brother-in-law John Goldys; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald V. Rumage; her twin brother, Donald Joseph Rumage; and stepfather, Jack Cormack.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia Society would be appreciated.

A very special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane, the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, and to the staff on 2D at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints for their compassionate care.
