Richard 'Dick' A. Gray

Surrounded by his loving family, Richard A. Gray, age 78, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his residence. Richard was born in Waukesha, WI, October 24, 1933, son of the late Lyle E. and Bernice (Nee: Hockett) Gray.

Dick proudly served as Corporal in the United States Army. On September 15, 1979, at Franksville United Methodist Church, he was united in marriage to Esther C. Stumbris-Lazzeroni. He owned and operated Cisco Chain Marina, a chain of fifteen lakes. Dick enjoyed painting portraits, playing cards, fishing with his buddies, cooking and traveling with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; children, William (Roberta) Gray of Sturtevant, Scott (Sarah) Gray of Salem, WI, Richard Gray of Kenosha, Vicki Martinson of Kenosha; his stepchildren, Edward (Karen) Lazzeroni, Steven (Diane) Lazzeroni, Patrice (Scott) Sebastian, all of Racine, Gina Downs of Philadelphia, Terri (Michael) Driscoll of Racine; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Mae Gray of FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday April 18, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with Rev. Brad Van Fossen officiating. Interment will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Memorials to Heartland Hospice have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to nurse Amy Maki and the entire staff at Heartland Hospice for all of their loving and compassionate care.
