Anna Mae (Brown) Day

Anna Mae Day, age 87, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Trinity Village, Milwaukee, WI. Anna was born in Morehead, Kentucky, on March 16, 1925, daughter of the late Willie and Drew (Nee: Johnson) Brown.

She was united in marriage to Rennie I. Day, who preceded her in death on March 16, 1985. Anna was an active and devoted member serving the Lord at the Racine Baptist Temple. In her younger years she enjoyed quilting. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her son, Richard (Emily) Day of Racine; her grandchildren, Richard L. Day II, Heidi J. (Cornelius) Simmons, all of Racine; her two great-grandchildren, Nolan Day, Cornelius “CJ” Simmons Jr.; sisters, Hazel (Delbert) Raimey, Wanda (Ira) Hudnall, all of OH, Susan (John) Chullen of Benton, IL; sisters-in-law, Etta Mae Brown of Morehead, KY, Dessie (Don) Adams of AZ,; special niece, Diane Wade; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Geraldine.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 3, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Racine Baptist Temple, 4835 Taylor Ave., with Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Alfrey Cemetery, Bangor, Kentucky.
