On April 15, 1950, she was united in marriage to Anthony F. Putz, who preceded her in death on May 9, 2007. Genevieve was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the simple things in life with complete devotion to her family. As an avid sports fan, she loved to follow the Packers and Brewers.
Survivors include her three children, David (Nancy) of Delafield, WI, Nancy (Rob) Dietz of Schaumburg, IL, Sharon (Michael) Opacich of Lake Zurich, IL; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brian, Elizabeth, Ryan, Hilary, Christian and Ellen. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephew. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Barbara; grandson, David; sisters, Sophie (Robert) Taliaferro and Josephine (Alfred) Podalak.
A private memorial service will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
