Mary F. (Groulik) Josepowitz

Mary F. Josepowitz, age 85, passed away at Kenosha Estates on Friday May 25, 2012. Mary was born in Racine May 12, 1927, daughter of the late John and Anna (nee: Lukas) Groulik.

On October 20, 1945, Mary was united in marriage to Alex Josepowitz at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, where she was a lifelong member. They shared thirty-three years together before Alex passed away April 5, 1978. Mary was an Avon representative for thirty-five years. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing ceramics.

Survivors include her daughter, Edith Bushey of Mundelein, Il; son, Thomas Josepowitz of Racine; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Strzyzewski, Thomas (Jill) Josepowitz Jr., Lynn (Brian) Hughes, Mark (Shannon) Bushey; seven great-grandchildren, Eric and Hannah Strzyzewski, Taylor and Emily Josepowitz, Logan and Isabella Hughes, and Addison Bushey; brother, Jerome (Marion) Groulik of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank and Stanley; son-in-law, Allan Bushey; and sister-in-law, Lillian Groulik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St., on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Don Zirkel officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church have been suggested.
